Play for today: Vogue Japan november 2011

for me that editorial must become a representation of collaboration of people with hardest pronounced names in the industry, i mean model and photographer, for sure. This editorial is just all about styling and styling in a total lackluster here, you an even do not pay attention to the infamous Katie in credits list. It is a bland studio shoot with jumping all around Nyasha in floating very summery (hey it`s november!) dresses. But some of them are so out of this space: for example, first look with fur jacket, secound look with very tought dress, the one with Collapse ) and the one looks very dries van nothen...overall it seems what even styling doesnt have one direction and i can`t be sure what Katie is trying to say...

Play for tofay: Vogue Japan. november 2011

Again fatale, dominatrix, fetishist theme. This time executed by George Cortina. I am not a fan, though i love how Lara looks here almost wothout make-up. Classic rennaissnce italian settings (i believe, it is Venice, right?) gothic mood thanks to restricted belts and lots of snazzy laces. i personnaly think what it looks more klamsy and awkward that sexy and mistress-y especially on Lara. i think they should choose other model (Saskia?) to look kinky in all these outfits and, maybe choose other outfits, because it is too ponderous. For you to judje eitherway...

My favorive Holland girl, my model of the moment with one of my favorite photographer... I am reallly happy for her, because this season she is getting more and more: she already became a favorite of duo Mert & Marcus (6 collaboration in a row, 2 of them are f/w 2011 advertising: Dsquared2 and Versace. I especially love Dsquared2. She is feauture in f/w 2011 love magazine as well), hope she can become a favorite for Nippon Vogue and George Cortina and Jansson too. I am not really fond of this particular story (it is never enough for me, i know...) as of all she`s been feauture in except Dsquared2, and Vogue paris february 2011 by Sorrenti. But, i hope her best works will coming out in the future. She has certain weird grace, that so self- confident and powerful way to stand in front of the camera, to pose so well. I think maestro Helmut Newton could see her true value, she is really his cup of tea: a bit pervy, a bit androginy, with georgeous body. I think, that`s why Carine Roitfeld appreciated her...In that photosession she`s playing  teen- age girl staying alone in the mansion of her parents, wearing soft and so tender feminine polka- dot outfits

Leah De Wavrin is from France and she started her career in the end of 2005, she was very on demand till 2007, i think, then she disapeared. Now, little by little she`s coming back on duty. Here we can see her looking quite similair to Amber Valletta and her whole look is so familiar to the one of Amber, ususally appearing  in US Vogue, for example, by Steven Klein, or Steven Meisel. US Vogue like to exploit that 50`s american domestic goddess image...

Yep, it is hard to observe Karlie or Arthur Elgort in my blog... Because i simply don`t like `em...I find Karlie very unattractive, with kinda unpleasing face and feautures (except her legs, because it`s the one normal thing in her), weird unproportional body and i can`t understand all this hype around her, except, perhaps, love of Anna Vintour, which can break all surrenders and damage brains and dimout ppl by the influence and authority of her mind and standpoint...But, speaking about that ed, it is looking like a closed story for US Vogue ( Vogue Japan usually descend to take closed photosession from Vogue USA), cutted down by Mrs Wintour...

i can`t call Snejana a usual guest of magazines, though last time we `ve seen her feauture in Paris Vogue june by Katja Rahlwes, so this might be a coming back. I am not a fan of her in anything, she is too emotianal- less and snow- queen for my taste. Though, i think , this is a great choice of charachter for that kind of stiry: misstress in the mix between femininity with long chic widow gowns, see-through dresses and gam cases and masculinity with tuxedos and everything in very strict and severe manner. Even though, i think what hats are excessive and odd.

i know, it`s been posted somewhere, but here it is in hq and good quality. last issue of nippon vogue is truly better than everything what has been there for whole 2011. Plenty of editorials (7- it is unbelievable quantity for japanese vogue), different themes (finally not only fall/ winter collections already in june, as we are usually seeing in there in july issues). I know, what lots of a ppl are obsessed about Carola appearance, but i find her too cocaine chic. But first pic behind the cut - i adore such style. bare legs, no foorwear and something white and furry/ plumy on her. Very bourgeois party- style.

What to say? i actually hate the styling, all these wild prints and woman- uban hunter idea- too dolce& gabbana for me, though the idea is quite ironic. Taken on Napoli beaches
